As most are well aware, I LOVE minibooks. In fact, shaped minibooks are just about on the top of my list of things to make. However, I rarely use the books as is. I am usually adding pages, taking out pages etc. So I end up with a box full of stray pieces. They are great to on larger pages, but they also make a fun mixed and matched book of their own.

Held together with a book ring, this mini book is fun to flip through, and a great way to use up all those mini book strays.

I love to take journaling cards and make them into an almost instant minibook. I am especially excited when the cards are as cute as these from Echo Park Paper.

One of my favorite things in the Summertime line, is the scallop border stickers. If you look closely.. the scallops are imperfect -they wonderfully un-even. Giving them a unique little touch of casual whimsy. The make the perfect edge treatment for my pages. But what to do about their unsightly sticky back?

You could cover the back with paper and trim around it.. but that is way too much work. lol So I look to the cure all in my crafting tool kit… GLITTER!

Just sprinkle your favorite glitter on the exposed sticky…

And you have a perfectly finished edge on BOTH sides of the page!

A friend of my sister, who has quickly become a friend of mine, recently adopted a little baby boy. As a shower gift.. I created this little house for her to put in his nursery. The colors match his decor colors, and the little froggy on the bingo card was taken from the shower invite.

I had to share it because this was such a great photograph of the project! The picture was taken by her sister who is obviously a very skilled photographer.

One tool that I LOVE… really… LOVE. Considered one of my favorite bigger ticket buys – is my Bind-it-All. This may sound odd, but even when I was a kid, I was obsessed with wire binding. In highschool, I went so far as to getting an industrial wire binding maching. (that still sits in my garage and weighs about 70lbs)
To make this album, I just trimmed my Hambly Overlays into various sizes adhering pictures and embellies to each page, then VOILA. Bind and those scraps of paper become an album.
