There is not much that I can say that has not already been said. But with the passing of Steve Jobs…I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the profound effect that his vision and passion has on my life. The iPod, iPhone, and even my iPad and MacBook are all things that I interface with on a daily basis. They help me work, play, and learn. All without even thinking about it. They are essentials in my tool belt of life. {I know that there are those that may think that is just crazy I know… but these gifts of technology make the day to day tasks of single motherdom more manageable.} Pixar Movies are among our very favorites. And his boldness is one I admire greatly - “Things don’t have to change the world to be important.”

More than just gadgets. These tangible items of a larger vision improve the quality of my life, increase the amount of time I have with my wonderful family, and just make day to day more fun. They have truly changed the way I live my life.

Steve Jobs represents an innovative spirit that will inspire for generations to come. It’s amazing to see how the legacy of Steve Jobs is the norm for my kids. It’s second nature for each of my daughters to se the technology that some thought would be impossible.

I hope we all can take his advice – “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life … Stay hungry. Stay foolish.”

Thank you. May you rest in peace.

Agreed. The day I bought my iPhone last year I became an Apple FanGirl (our house is now a fully Apple-lized house). The ease of use and design of the products are amazing, and how they changed my workflow still amazes me. I even give them partial credit for re-awakening my creative spark after I thought law school had snuffed it out. It saddens me to think of what more he would have contributed to the world had he been given longer. He will be missed but he will continue to inspire all of us through his designs, his words and his genius.
