Candy Buffets are all the rage. In fact, they have become a bit of a Cabrera Celebration favorite. For my sister’s wedding, I created this fun centerpiece. Super easy, and great for any occasion.

To create one of your own just follow some of these simple tips.

  1. Use floral foam at the bottom of your container to hold the candies.
  2. A little hot glue at the bottom of each stick before you stick it through the foam will help secure the pops.
  3. Gumballs and jellybeans make a great filler to cover the foam. I glued the gumballs in place and just poured in the jellybeans into the center.

Here is how it looked on the table, fun and simple!

Lately my creativity has been on a low simmer. I have not felt terribly creative.. I have however, been extremely inspired. My latest muse is Pinterest.

Simply put, Pinterest is a way to gather images from around the web (and now on your iphone) and organize them in easy to view manner. Think of them as digital inspiration boards! The part I love most is that I can follow other peoples boards… just adding to the inspirational creative love fest!

The Pinterest iphone app was releases this week. It is great for viewing and pinning to existing boards. It has some bugs that need to be worked out.. but for a free app, it’s going to be a lot of fun. If you want to get pinning, simply visit Pinterest.com and request an invitation. Anytime I am feeling a slump in my creativity, Pinterest has truly become my newest digital muse. To check out my pin boards, follow the feed right in the side bar or click here.

Color Mojo

in Paper Dreams

I don’t know if it has been the crazy weather or just my insane schedule, but my creative mojo has been pretty low lately. HOWEVER…the arrival of my new Doodlebug Create a Cards has helped give me that color mojo I have been looking for.

These cards are actually pretty cute on their own. I love that they are inexpensive enough to really make them great for giving. And because they are pre-cut – creating a special card only takes a few moments. {I made all three of these cards in under 20 min!}
