Ana, I’m a single mom, too. Luckily, the ex-husband is very involved with the kids, but when I get the “How do you do it all?” question there’s part of me that has to hold back “What on earth makes you think that I do?” For me, I’m grateful that my children are so strong and capable and that they can help out…and I’m grateful for boys AND girls, because the trash goes out, the leaves get raked AND the dishes get unloaded and lunches get made. The basic bases get covered. And yet we do our best to enjoy each other and keep our home from being condemned. (J/k. It’s not that bad!)(Yet)(J/k)(Sort of…)
So you’re not alone in not doing it all.
And ohbytheway, I don’t think all those perfect “marrieds” “do it all” either.
