When I made this little project I was inspired by the Holiday houses you often see cropping up around Christmas. I made this particular line up a couple years ago… and still love it.
This is one I did a couple weeks ago for the Scrapbook Trends blog.

I just LOVE Raffia flowers. Something about them reminds me of sunshine and flip flops. Here is a card we are creating in an upcoming class I am teaching. {if you are a UTAH local and want more info please drop me a line!}
The best part about giving this, is that the flower is a CLIP, so it can be used over and over again.

And they are great for dressing up an inexpensive basket for Easter!

So I guess you know it is time to have a little talk about the birds and the bees.. when this coversation takes place. . .
Observations made while Lea was giving Xander a bath recently…
Lea noticed Sedona watching while she cleaned Xander’s bits. She had a really digusted look on her face. Sedona asks her aunt… “He has one of those?”
“yup” answered Lea, trying not to laugh.
“Will he have it forever?” (sedona)
“Uh, yes Sedona, he will. It’s what makes him a boy.”
to which Sedona replied. . .”Did I have one when I was a baby?”
“No Sedona”
Needless to say, Lea thinks I need to educate my little one. When Sierra caught wind of it, Sierra almost flipped out. “Sedona. Thats what seperates the girls from the boys!”. Youth. Gotta love it.
So I have to admit, I really love my job. This week I got to create some projects using Jenni Bowlin products.

And I am totally in love with these new mini easter bingo cards. For this project, I just created a tri-fold with three pieces of Hambly Thick overlays. It is bound at each seam using book tape. I added the bingo cards and embellies as shows. Finally, trim up some photos and adhere. A simple and quick project sure to brighten up any room.
For this project along with a couple other layouts, check out the Scrapbook Trends blog. They are even giving away a fun Jenni Bowlin prize!
In trying to get back on track of my Layout a day, I made this simple little layout.
I call it a Coffee Break layout because it literally took 15 min. to create.
- I started by trimming my 4×6 photos and mounting to white cardstock.
- Trim so that it creates a narrow photo mat.
- Add journaling and title (I printed mine onto white cardstock, cut out, and mounted)
- Finally, using foam tape, adhere the whole thing onto patterned cardstock.
supplies: cardstock(American Crafts), patterned paper, journaling card (Jillibean Soup), letter stickers (American Crafts, My Little Shoebox), printer (Epson)
I am LOVING all the banners I am seeing these days~

I created this layout today using the Sizzix Texture Boutique. (you can win one over at the Scrapbook Trends blog!) I wanted to create a layout using the birthday theme and this paper from Sassafrass Lass was PERFCT for it! But my favorite thing are these 12″ banner strips. They come on a large 12×12 sheet with a variety of banner shapes. The look is so festive and free! The best part.. no cutting all those little shapes and sticking them individually.
