This was an old layout that I did for the Hambly Screen Prints blog. Sadly, this is one of the many things I lost when ALL of our belongings were lost by our moving company a couple years ago.
- The window uses an overlay sewn onto the cardstock. I used a CD as a template to create the “hole” in the cardstock.
- I applied the rub-ons to the back of overlay.
- To be extra frugal with my die-cut cardstock… I trimmed away one edge. Now I can use that on another project. And I happen to like the way looks too.
Just goes to show that a good design is really timeless! Think I am going to go recreate this right now!
Supplies: Patterned paper, overlay, rub-ons (Hambly Screen Prints) Die cut cardstock (Bazzill) Letter stickers (Making Memories, American Crafts) adhesive rhinstones (Prima) other (big half pearl picked up at a tag sale)

Man, as a kid I remember the first time I saw Michael Jackson perform Billie Jean on an awards show. I was in elementary school… and really could not believe what I saw! Then came Thriller. I was in 4th grade in Concord, CA. My friends and I would dance out version of the choreography on the black top between the monkey bars and the swing set. With all the madness surrounding him at the end of his life, he still… is in my eyes.. .the King of Pop.

I am not a huge fan of veggies, but this dish makes the cauliflower yummy! Even the kids loved it.
- 1 head cauliflower
- olive oil
- bread crumbs (1 T.)
- dried red pepper flakes
- kosher salt
- 1 clove garlic crushed (optional)
Preheat oven to 400 with rack in the center.
Cut the cauliflower into a large bowl. Cut the pieces into small “trees”.
Drizzle with olive oil to lightly coat. Add breadcrumbs and seasonings, toss to coat.
Bake on a baking sheet for 20 min. Serve immediately.
(note: I left out the garlic this last time I made this and it was really sweet. It made for a more kid friendly dish but still had plenty of flavor.)

Inspired by neighbors’ terrifically green lawns. Sadly, I have a brown thumb. The only thing I can grow are dandelions.
