ok. i admit it. I have been enlightened. I have walked around my entire life thinking that the whole universal health care thing was just a lame idea. That there was no way that the United States could have it wrong. I am very patriotic and really thought to myself that we MUST have the answers. Sure, something like 46 million Americans are without health care. And countless thousands are in debt up to their eyeballs with medical copays and bills. But, it has to be worse else where.
Until I watched SICKO from Michael Moore. Now. Don't get me wrong. I actually am not a big fan of Micheal more movies. But, well please… watch for yourself. I even found a place you watch it for free online.

After watching this movie, it really made me think. I have not made up my mind, but I am certainly going to arm myself with more education. I hope you will do the same.
So this is really a little belated, but my dear Sedona has turned 6 years old!
She is my youngest. This little one is so full of spunk and personality. She is quick witted, talented, smart, and funny as hell. She seriously cracks me up all the time. And yes… she is a bit on the spoiled side. Her BirthDAY ended up being three days of celebration. (Her own personal Mardi Gras!) Dinner at the Red Iguana, gifts, two cakes, and treating her friends to Kangaroo Zoo. With her PAPA here in Utah now, I am not at all surprised! But all these activities along with my INSANE work schedule has left me EXHAUSTED! I will post my minibook as soon as it is done, until then… enjoy the festivities!
Created with Admarket's flickrSLiDR.
This is never a romantic day for me, however.. it is always filled with lots of food and fun. I wish you and your family a very Happy Day!

May CUPID find his way to you today! Happy Valentine's Day!
So I FINALLY did it. I have joined the digital SLR photography age. Got a screamin' deal on a Nikon D40… took me a bit to figure out how to take a picture, but now.. I can't stop! Now… I am not comfortable to do anything besides leave it on AUTO, but my pictures have already seen massive improvement!
I can't wait to take Candice's class over at Jessica's site. I've had friend who took that class and loved it. And since I personally know how awesome of a photographer dear Candice is. . . I can just hope to soak in some of her photo-guru-knowledge!
Now back to surfing for more D-SLR love online.
If you build it, they will come. . .Love Letters that is! This whimsical little mailbox is really easy to make. And it is great project to do with kids! This project was originally published in the Paper Crafts magazine special Paper Crafting with Kids. This one is a mini, my kids created bigger ones for their school parties.
Simply paint the edges of a paper mache mailbox blank.
Cut paper to cover the center and ends of the mailbox. Just trace the mailbox and cut the paper a little smaller. To make this easier, remove the flag first.
Add embellies, stickers, ribbon, etc. and replace the flag.
All three of my little ones really loved making them, and it only took a couple hours for them to feel like they created a masterpiece!
Pretty Banner
Using the SAME Making Memories card kit* as the previous project.. I created this fun Valentine banner. I think it would look really cute hanging from a mantel (but I don't have a fireplace… so my wall will have to suffice!)
To make one of your own
Alternate the cards for each letter of the sentiment you want to spell out. (mine says "My Valentine")
Using a punch – punch two holes at the top fo the card.
Embellish each card using additional bits of paper, stickers, chipboard letters, flowers, etc. I love the pre-glittered chipboard for this project.
Finally, string onto a ribbon and hang for all to enjoy.
*note: I did not use an ADDITIONAL kit for the two projects. Just one! Shows just how far those kits can really stretch.
