myminds

All in all, CHA was an inspiring and exhilarating event. And as always.. is it more than just products. I love finding old and new friends, and reconnecting with those who share my same passion.

CHA 2009 Day 2

by coconutgoddess on January 27, 2009

Day 2 was another wonderful day at the show. Along with seeing the new lines and checking out what manufacturers have cooked up… I love seeing old friends and getting to meet people that I admire.

by coconutgoddess on January 25, 2009

since today was the day that i flew in… I didnt really have a ton of time to make the rounds. But there were some fun highlights of my day. The first…

Meeting Paris Hilton

paris

Paris was at CHA today for a meet and greet – Launching her new line of Creativity Kits. Now, I admit that I had my doubts… but the Tween kits are cute. the line is very Paris meets Barbie. I love the bracelet kits and a faux Louis Vitton covered album.

work work work…

by coconutgoddess on January 21, 2009

Man, it has been a crazy couple weeks! I have been working (along with the rest of my team) on a BIG project. Lots of really cool things coming up. And after weeks of 14/16  hour work days, no holidays or weekends – we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.  Now I know, that this is pretty vague, but… all will be revealed very soon. One small component of this project is my new blog. I can't say much more… but can share this.

Craftess

Of course, getting ready for CHA. So if you are going, be sure to follow my twitter feed and set it to get mobile updates. Lets try for a tweet up! And if you are going.. .please let drop me a line. Lets get together! I am pretty beat. So more tomorrow.

would you?

by coconutgoddess on January 14, 2009

ok… now I have to say that this is not something I do often or would really ever do again.  BUT today I was prompted to pick up a hitch hiker. A nice young man named Travis on his way to Las Vegas to catch a plane to Louisiana so he can be with his girlfriend. She is in school.. taking a break to move out to Utah with him. He's a ski instructor.. and a charming young man.  And as crazy as it seemed… {he could have been an axe murderer after all} this little bit of service was very rewarding. I hope he makes it. It makes me smile to see such young love at work. To think this young ski instructor is going to hitch hike across the state to fly to his love. wow.

In fact, it made me remember my younger years. Back when I was young.. and yes, foolish. Now don't get me wrong. I dont long to go back there, but I think that we could all use a little "foolish beat" in our heart from time to time.

This recipe is adapted from the “More from Magnolia” cookbook. For special occassions try baking them in little nut cups in various sizes.
