These days have been just incredibly busy. Work, family, friends, church, home..you name it. There just doesn't seem to be much time for creative endevors.
That is why I love this 4×6 layout! The taller photo is 4×6 and the two smaller ones is also an untrimmed 4×6. As you see the layout is super simple. Just a few cool looking papers, a little journaling and its done!
My daughter Sierra had a Halloween Party on Sat, so we had to make some decorations on the fly, and on a budget. Here are some of the projects we created.
First are these glittered spiders hanging over the table from fishing line.
And these very cute ghosts that I used to decorate my black Halloween tree.
both shapes were downloads available for mySilhouette cutter. I just loaded them into the program, cut the shapes from regular card stock then glittered! (to keep the paper from curling, I used a spray adhesive and very fine glitter by Dooodle Bug) I sprayed and glittered one side, then repeated with the other!
And my personal favorite kissing balls on a stick. Now, you can of course do these by hand cutting and folding. But Sizzix has a die that cuts and scores the circles. If for no other reason, that die is totally worth the investment! You can bet you will see these again for fall, Christmas, and beyond!
Heather Bailey has some cute spring time ones on her blog from a while back. She also has a pattern to cut them by hand here.

So as I mentioned before (here) I am very proud to be a part of the PC Gourment book project. And this week, we are celebrating~ to do so here is another fun sneak peek into the book. And if you like recipies and foodie goodness… be sure to visit my food blog (link in the sidebar) Foie de Vie.
The very lovely Alisa Bangerter supplied the recipe and created this fun project. And it is so easy, there is still time to make both in time for Halloween.

Seriously, best quiche ever. Not to mention easy! The only thing it isn’t. . . low fat!

*UPDATE: The download is working again. The file was too large. Thanks!
Quick… grab It while the grabbins good!
So as I have mentioned before, one of the fun perks of working at CK Media is that I get to see things before they are meant to be seen! That is the case with the new Paper Crafts Gourmet book. This is a GORGEOUS book that any food lover will enjoy! {and paper lovers get the bonus of some pretty spectacular paper projects as well}
Here is a little sneak preview of one of the recipes that I have in the book.
You can download the pdf here. Just do it quick… posting this is “unofficial” and you never know when the man will make me take it down. (better to ask forgiveness right?) don't forget to go preorder the book while you're at it. (Makes GREAT holiday gifts!)
As you can tell, we are celebrating all things food here on CK.com so be sure to upload your favorite food inspired layouts, projects, and recipes. I will be on the lookout for some of my favorites to feature in an upcoming post. And who knows, maybe you will even get a little surprise to boot!
To get us in the mood, check out some of these easy downloadable recipe cards I have found around the web. There are even some that can be used in Word! No Photoshop skills needed! Just type and print. I am thinking these would make fun mini cookbooks for an easy hostess gift.
Erin Lincoln has some great food projects too! So check out.
Becky Higgins has wonderful recipes here. And be sure to check out my food lovers blog as well!
Office Recipe Templates here and here.
Printable recipe cards here and here.
And when all else fails… google!
I have to say, it is really great to be sitting at work and have Brenda from Paper Crafts magazine come over and drop off a copy of Card Creations 6. (along with some projects that I created for it) The thrill never gets old!
Thumbing through it… I can feel my creative mojo springing back to life.
You can even get a sneak peek into the issue by checking out my project below. Sue Neal was recently on a local tv show and picked MY CARD as the one she would recreate! [Thanks Sue… we still have to lunch soon]
Be sure to order a copy today.
