I am LOVING all the banners I am seeing these days~

I created this layout today using the Sizzix Texture Boutique. (you can win one over at the Scrapbook Trends blog!) I wanted to create a layout using the birthday theme and this paper from Sassafrass Lass was PERFCT for it! But my favorite thing are these 12″ banner strips. They come on a large 12×12 sheet with a variety of banner shapes. The look is so festive and free! The best part.. no cutting all those little shapes and sticking them individually.

So how are you doing on your layout a day? Not keeping up… don’t stress. Neither am I! Life does that sometimes and well… that is ok! So today I pick up with another quick layout. I LOVE die cut papers – they add instant flair for super fast pages.

Making it stretch

We all have out favorite papers and supplies. And sometimes, those supplies can be a spendy. So make your supplies stretch!
I used a single sheet of paper for each of the pattern in the above layout.
And I even squeeked out some CARDS!

Thats right. 1 piece of cardstock, two patterned papers and 1 transparency. Made the layout and the cards! And there was even some to spare.
For the layout design.. I just looked to my favorite three across formula. The pictures were all 4×6 that I just hand trimmed them a bit before mounting them to the page.

Supplies: Cardstock: American Crafts, Die cut paper: Fancy Pants, Film strip: Tim Holtz (Ranger), Animal stickers: Martha Stewart Crafts, Tiny Alphas:Making Memories.
This layout only takes minutes to put together.
I printed the pictures with my Epson Photomate, I LOVE THIS THING. AWESOME 4×6 prints!
I trimmed the die cut paper. (So I can use part of it again later)
Mount the pictures as show. The center picture is mounted on foam dots to raise it above the other two.
Add embellies, title, and date.

Layout a day – Day 1
supplies: Cardstock: American Crafts, Patterned paper: Making Memories (Just Chillin') Tiny Alphas: Making Memories, Die cut: Silhouette, Mini die cut label paper: Jenni Bowlin
Today’s layout is a great… simple Monday night layout.
It is super easy to create and economical. And as a bonus, it can include as many pictures as you want!

This is close up of the second page. I just fit all the images into this photo strip, packing in the pictures but still resulting in a clean layout.
Of course this layout will fit many styles. Add more embellies if that’s your thing, distress and ink the elements, double mat the image strips before adhering to the page… the possibilities are limitless!

The title was really simple as well. The title was cut with my silhouette. Of course you could also use letter stickers or chipboard. The mini letters complete the title. A fast friendly layout for even the busiest family work night.

Leave a message, RT, or comment on FB for a chance to win a Jenny Bowlin prize pack including those fun mini-die cut papers I used on my page! I will draw names at the end of the week! See you tomorrow for another layout and giveaway.
