In trying to get back on track of my Layout a day, I made this simple little layout.
I call it a Coffee Break layout because it literally took 15 min. to create.
- I started by trimming my 4×6 photos and mounting to white cardstock.
- Trim so that it creates a narrow photo mat.
- Add journaling and title (I printed mine onto white cardstock, cut out, and mounted)
- Finally, using foam tape, adhere the whole thing onto patterned cardstock.
supplies: cardstock(American Crafts), patterned paper, journaling card (Jillibean Soup), letter stickers (American Crafts, My Little Shoebox), printer (Epson)
So how are you doing on your layout a day? Not keeping up… don’t stress. Neither am I! Life does that sometimes and well… that is ok! So today I pick up with another quick layout. I LOVE die cut papers – they add instant flair for super fast pages.

For today’s layout… I created this two page layout for my sister to remember her baby shower.

I created the pocket with patterned cardstock by Making Memories. For the accent square on the left, I purposely cut out the X for Xander of course.
The layout is clean but still manages to include lots of pictures.

This layout is one of my all time favorites. Like most of my layouts, it was easy to make!
It is hard to see in the photo, but the circle on the left is a shadow box of sorts. I simply cut out the window and created a shadow box behind it using a Hambly Overlay as the window pane! I adhered the chipboard behind the window and added the black background behind the window using foam tape.
This is a GREAT way to use up stray chipboard pieces that we all have.
I used opaque white ink around the edge of the sheer photo frame.
To really make this quick and easy, I printed the pictures in a row just as it is seen on the page!
Keep up the good work ladies~

So I am back after a very fun, however, long and busy weekend. When time is of the essence, I like to look to KITS as a great solution. There are dozens of kit clubs out there, so no matter your style… there is something for you! I like to look for kits that have a variety of coordinating items at a good price. I don’t use kits all the time as I like to cherry pick my own supplies. But when I don’t want to spend the time to do that..kits have really made daily scrapping a possibility.

For this kit I used a Girl’s Loft kit that I had sitting on my desk for a couple months now.

A VERY simple layout as you can see. It was a nice 15 min. break from the very crazy weekend. Sometimes… a few minutes is truly all I have. So I make it a point to not feel pressure to come up with a masterpiece every time. The layout does everything I need it to.
It preserves the memory, tells a story, showcases the photograph and does it with a little flair. And I still feel like I took those few minutes a day… just for me! Creative projects feed my soul and make me happy!
