As I mentioned in my most recent spot on Paperclipping Roundtable, I have been working on some ginormous deco pieces that even Elf himself would be proud of! Here is the first in that series. These giant snowflakes are really simple to make. The whole project only took about 20 min. from start to finish. {I will share a photo of his in place next week when I post my Holiday tour of my home!} And don’t miss the details of the latest GIVEAWAY at the end of this post!

supplies

  • foam core (got mine at Walmart for under $3)
  • pattern
  • sharp craft knife
  • spray adhesive [Scotch Super 77 or other brand]
  • glitter* [for this project I used German glass glitter since I know that I will be keeping it from year to year]

Ok. I have to admit it. I have seen these fantastically gaudy watch bracelets for quite sometime now. And as much I LOVE the beads I have refused to take the plunge and wear one. I always seem to justify that I would rather just have a bracelet – who the heck still wears a watch?

ScarletLime.com watch art kitsThat is until my dear friend Christy from Scarlet Lime hooked me up with some beaded love. NOW I am not only totally addicted to wearing these fabu beads… but I totally addicted to making them. Christy is a rockstar, so the kits she puts together are so easy that my tween is able to put together the watch bands in no time. But grab a few kits and try mixing and matching some of the beads. Right now I am working on a Halloween band. Of course there are matching necklaces too.

Here is another watch band that I just made into a bracelet and a fun dangly pendant!

Because I love these guys so much… I just have to share. Leave a comment and one winner will get a complete watch kit. The only requirement is- if you are the winner… you have to send me a picture when you are done putting it together!

Be sure to visit my guest gallery at Scarlet Lime too.

supplies Patterned paper, stickers, journaling cards (A Walk in the Park by Echo Park Paper) kraft cardstock (bazzill)

This week’s giveaway is an Echo Park – A Walk in the Park complete kit. The sophmore line for this new paper company really hit it on the mark. This line is a richly colored line perfect for summer photos, girls, boys, and will even take you back to school and into the fall. The creative possibilities are endless. Be sure to swing by their FB Fan page and say hello. You will find lots of fun projects, inspiration, and yes.. freebies!

To win, visit the blog each day and leave a comment. Each comment is an entry for the drawing. Friday morning I will pull the lucky winner… simple and easy. Have a great weekend!

TIP: For this layout I created, I wanted to save some of the yellow patterned paper that the layout is built on. So I cut a 8×8 sqare from the very center of the page. Then, I mounted the 10×10 square of Kraft cardstock and added machine stitching. That way, I can still use the pattern that would have otherwise just been covered up!
