This past labor day weekend was pretty awesome I have to say. My lil sis had a gig up in Jackson, WY…so I decided to tag along. Savannah and I watched “the boy” while she worked. And now, I am totally in love. In love with Wyoming. (yes really)
It was too short of a trip I admit. I could spend a week just laying by the snake river, or eating under the stars. As most road trips that Lea and I go on.. it would not be complete unless we got a little lost, and hit a dead end or two. I ”saw” the sign that said the road was closed ahead, but I didn’t read it. I got as far as the word MANHEAD and didn’t read the rest of the sign. So after doubling back we finally were on our way.
Well, I have been a busy girl. I have so many fun projects coming up this fall… as you can see. My workspace has suffered a little. Not to mention taking a last moment vacation to California right before school started. I don’t know about you.. but I need to hit the reset button of my life. I think it will take me another week to get back into the groove of things.
So first up…I am so thrilled to be the guest designer for Scarlet Lime. The gallery will be going up tomorrow rather than today… so you still have time to leave a comment for your chance to win! I will announce the winner of the kit LATE tonight. Be sure to swing by a little later too… I am photographing some projects today and would love to share. Once the gallery is live, I will post a link here.
I am really feeling the creativity rushing back to me. So let’s play! Creative Daily will resume after the weekend.
The latest edition of the Paperclipping Roundtable is now available for free download! Listen as I join Noell, Izzy, and Nancy as we respond to some listener email… and find out why the episode is appropriately named…
“when they get hot, they’ll black out”.

Today was another fun taping of the Paperclipping roundtable. If you use technology to enhance your scrapbooking… or ever wanted to. You will want to listen to the show. (LINK will be once it goes live later today!) AND do not despair if you are not a mac/ipad/iphone person. There are some picks that are i-based but the best one of all is available to all technologies! PC, Mac, Android, Blackberry, iphone… etc.
My pick of the week: TypeDrawing for the iPad (also available for the iphone and ipod touch)
This fun little app allows you to play with text, using it as a brush of sorts. You can choose the text, font, colors, and even strokes. It doesn’t take the place of more powerful editors like photoshop or illustrator. But it is a cool little app that has a ton of fun and creative potential!
I just love Noell and Izzy over at Paperclipping.com , so it was so much fun to see them out on the show floor during this past CHA. Well, before you know it, a friendly hug gave way to the little red light turning on and this little video. Shot TOTALLY impromptu.. but so much fun. And be sure to check out DOZENS of awesome videos from CHA over at Paperclipping.com
And check back here for my next taping of the Paperclipping Roundtable. It is sure to be another fun discussion of all things scrapbooking!
A friend of my sister, who has quickly become a friend of mine, recently adopted a little baby boy. As a shower gift.. I created this little house for her to put in his nursery. The colors match his decor colors, and the little froggy on the bingo card was taken from the shower invite.
I had to share it because this was such a great photograph of the project! The picture was taken by her sister who is obviously a very skilled photographer.
