This past labor day weekend was pretty awesome I have to say. My lil sis had a gig up in Jackson, WY…so I decided to tag along. Savannah and I watched “the boy” while she worked. And now, I am totally in love. In love with Wyoming. (yes really)

It was too short of a trip I admit. I could spend a week just laying by the snake river, or eating under the stars. As most road trips that Lea and I go on.. it would not be complete unless we got a little lost, and hit a dead end or two. I ”saw” the sign that said the road was closed ahead, but I didn’t read it. I got as far as the word MANHEAD and didn’t read the rest of the sign. So after doubling back we finally were on our way.

Well, I have been a busy girl. I have so many fun projects coming up this fall… as you can see. My workspace has suffered a little. Not to mention taking a last moment vacation to California right before school started. I don’t know about you.. but I need to hit the reset button of my life. I think it will take me another week to get back into the groove of things.

So first up…I am so thrilled to be the guest designer for Scarlet Lime. The gallery will be going up tomorrow rather than today… so you still have time to leave a comment for your chance to win! I will announce the winner of the kit LATE tonight. Be sure to swing by a little later too… I am photographing some projects today and would love to share. Once the gallery is live, I will post a link here.
I am really feeling the creativity rushing back to me. So let’s play! Creative Daily will resume after the weekend.

WOW, I think I am finally getting my life back together. This week will be a fun one with lots of giveaways…and once very special one to take note of! Join me right here on Sept. 1 to celebrate the Scarlet Lime’s big birthday! so swing by for a sneak peek of the new kit, some previews of my creations (I am honored to be this month’s guest designer!) and One blog reader will win the latest kit. So much fun… so stay tuned and keep coming by.
Kids these days never cease to amaze me. They are so tech savvy. Sedona is always leaving me little suprises on my phone. Here is what I recently found while perusing through some pictures in my phone’s photo album…

Haha… these cracked me up. I don’t even know how she put the bubbles.

I guess we know how Sedona REALLY feels…lol. Kids… gotta love ‘em.
Mother’s Day was sweet. My dear children all made me wonderful handmade gifts.. all from the heart. I loved all of them. It is amazing how well my girls know me. Savannah gave me a book about us with hand drawn pictures and a whole bunch of coupons for help around the house. (something she knows I often need) Sierra gave me a very sweet note and a pretty flower pen.. one that hopefully I won’t lose now!
Sedona was so excited to give me this book. My little one ended up being terribly ill yesterday, but she still read me the story she wrote and illustrated. Its a book about things that are opposite, and things that are alike between us. Two of my favorite pages…

Obviously we are big soda drinkers…lol. I should work on that.

For the record, I don’t make it a habit of eating a WHOLE chicken…lol.
Gotta love em.
I am in lovely Anaheim, CA for yet another CHA! I have to admit, I have a love/hate relationship with these shows. Mostly love… after all I still find it thrilling to see all the products that the craft industry comes up with. And I really love seeing old friends and colleauges from the industry that has been so good to me. And yes… every once in a while I get to meet someone kind of cool. (Kathy Ireland yesterday, last year Paris Hilton) The parts I don’t love so much… incredibally long days that still leave me feeling like I don’t have enough time and sore feet. (just day 1 and my dogs are tired!)
So to answer my dear Sedona’s question… “What do you on your trip mommy?” Here is a day at CHA.
Today is like most. Up early… out the door for breakfast appointment before my first floor meeting at 9.
Then a day spent between appointments and walking the floor.

(the always love Traci Bautista)
When the show closes I will spend a couple more hours at the business workshops before grabbing a bite to eat.
After a very quick dinner… off to tape another episode of Paper Clipping Roundtable – LIVE from CHA. (This is going to be a blast, again seeing good friends)
Once that is done, back to the hotel for “drinks” with colleagues and old friends…

(Melanie Wood from acdSee – My canadian sista!)
then up to the room for emails, photos, blogging and other work related stuff.
A fun, but long day for sure. Well, I better go! CHA awaits! For peeks of products and projects be sure to check out the Scrapbook Trends magazine blog where I am reporting daily and the Scrapbook Trends Facebook page where I will upload additional projects and finds from the show.
