iPhone Surprises

by coconutgoddess on August 12, 2010

Kids these days never cease to amaze me. They are so tech savvy. Sedona is always leaving me little suprises on my phone. Here is what I recently found while perusing through some pictures in my phone’s photo album…

Haha… these cracked me up. I don’t even know how she put the bubbles.

I guess we know how Sedona REALLY feels…lol. Kids… gotta love ‘em.

A couple weekends ago, we spent our Saturday at Timp High watching the girl’s at their end of year Dance Recital. Savannah and Sedona both were involved with Jazz and Ballroom this past year. Their first year in.. it was so fun to see the result of all their hard work. And it was great to see the advanced teams dance… and the inspiration they are to my girls. The day started with rehearsal at 11am and ended with the final show past 10pm. Even after such a long day and the major investment $$$ into the show, costumes, tickets, and classes – we can hardly wait for the next season to start up again!

Mother’s Day was sweet. My dear children all made me wonderful handmade gifts.. all from the heart. I loved all of them. It is amazing how well my girls know me. Savannah gave me a book about us with hand drawn pictures and a whole bunch of coupons for help around the house. (something she knows I often need) Sierra gave me a very sweet note and a pretty flower pen.. one that hopefully I won’t lose now!

Sedona was so excited to give me this book. My little one ended up being terribly ill yesterday, but she still read me the story she wrote and illustrated. Its a book about things that are opposite, and things that are alike between us. Two of my favorite pages…

Obviously we are big soda drinkers…lol. I should work on that.

For the record, I don’t make it a habit of eating a WHOLE chicken…lol.

Gotta love em.

In trying to get back on track of my Layout a day, I made this simple little layout.

15I call it a Coffee Break layout because it literally took 15 min. to create.

  • I started by trimming my 4×6 photos and mounting to white cardstock.
  • Trim so that it creates a narrow photo mat.
  • Add journaling and title (I printed mine onto white cardstock, cut out, and mounted)
  • Finally, using foam tape, adhere the whole thing onto patterned cardstock.

supplies: cardstock(American Crafts), patterned paper, journaling card (Jillibean Soup), letter stickers (American Crafts, My Little Shoebox), printer (Epson)

Happy Birthday Sedona

by coconutgoddess on February 16, 2010

Sedona is 7 today. My baby… my baby is 7. Happy Birthday my little one.

A little about Sedona

  • She is the youngest of three sisters. (Sierra 12, Savannah 10, Sedona 7)
  • Sedona is full of life, the spunkiest little thing you have ever met. She is wise beyond her years.
  • She takes piano, jazz, and ballroom. The girl loves to shake her groove thang!
  • Sedona can be a little diva. She is generally a very good girl, but she has been known to throw a divalicous fit every once in a while.
  • Full of life, she is always singing, laughing, giggling, and just bringing so much joy to our life.
  • The girl can TALK. (and talk and talk!)
  • Her birthday is the day after her Uncle Eric!

I love you little one. Hope you have a great day!
