minis – a roundtable topic

Today I had the fortune to tape another episode of the Paperclipping Roundtable. {with Noelle Hyman, Nancy Nally, Izzy, and Stacy Julian} The topic of the day -minibooks. During our discussion Stacy had a WONDERFUL idea for us to share some of our minis! So here are some of my favorites.

So my favorite mini is the free form. Rarely do I create a minibook that is just all square or retangular. With shaped books, I will often let the pictures and elements hang off the page!

I also LOVE  making minis from different materials. Here is one created from a Sweethearts box. I gave one to my little brother once made from an old record!

You can see the inside pages here.

This was a project we made for a birthday party. As each guest arrived, I took their picture. Then I printed several copies of each one and the kids made minibooks as their final activity.

For more minis, check out some past posts here and on flickr over here!

Be sure to check out this week’s episode of Paperclipping Roundtable!

Okay, now you’re making me re-think shaped mini’s! I love the pictures hanging off the sides! And I love how you hung the glittered heart on the ring in that heart-book. I do that kind of thing a lot, too, but don’t think I’ve noticed anyone else do it (I’m sure some do, though).

Hey Ana! I have been listening to the podcasts of the roundtable (I’m a little behind and haven’t heard this episode yet) and am enjoying the immensely. I love the sweethearts mini that you have done! I know I have seen it before on your blog (I have been following it for quite a while now) and I am so glad you showed it again to remind me to try something similar. Thanks for all the inspiration you provide.
